Modalitat

Treball online 16 hores + Classes On Line (14 hores) amb la dinàmica d'una classe presencial.
Aquesta modalitat de formació permet unir els avantatges de la classe presencial (pel que fa a interacció directa amb el professorat) i la immediatesa i disponibilitat en tot moment del material didàctic i classes enregistrades.

A més aquestes classes que queden gravades es poden visualitzar tantes vegades com es desitgi durant el curs.
Aquest curs es durà a terme sempre i quan s'arribi a un número mínim d'inscripcions.

L’objectiu general d’aquest curs és :

  • Reflexionar sobre el sentit de la nostra tasca docent identificant els elements que la composen.

  • Dissenyar, planificar espais d'aprenentatge des d’un temari que atenguin a les necessitats educatives de l'alumnat, a la igualtat de gènere, a l'equitat i al respecte als drets humans.

  • Analitzar i valorar els elements significatius per la nostra tasca docent, tot seguint la normativa i temari vigents amb l’objectius de promoure a formació de ciutadans competents, lliures, crítics, autònoms, solidaris i responsables compromesos amb l’entorn social i amb la millora de la societat.QUÈ OFEREIX EL CURS?
    El  curs disposarà tot el material necessari, l’alumne podrà anar-se descarregant el material que de manera periòdica s’anirà pujant a la plataforma i que inclourà material general sobre el temari i altres articles o documents complementaris que puguin ajudar a desenvolupar i/o ampliar els temes proposats.

Continguts del Curs

Introduction to the course.

Topics development:

TOPIC 1. Language as communication: Oral and written language. Factors that define a communicative situation: transmitter, receiver, functions and context.

TOPIC 2. Communication in the foreign language classroom: verbal and nonverbal communication. Extralinguistic strategies: nonverbal reactions to message in different context.

TOPIC 3. Development of the linguistic skills: oral expression and comprehension, written expression and comprehension. Communicative competence in English.

TOPIC 4. Valuation of the knowledge of foreign languages as an instrument of communication among people and countries. Interest in linguistic diversity by knowing a new language and its culture.

TOPIC 5. Geographic, historic and cultural framework of English speaking countries. Didactic application of geographic, historic and cultural aspects.

TOPIC 6. Contributions of linguistics to foreign language teaching. The process of linguistic learning: similarities and differences between acquiring the first and the foreign language.

TOPIC 7. The oral English language. The complexity of the comprehension of the general meaning in oral interaction: from audition to active and selective listening. Beginning to speak: from imitative reproduction to autonomous production.

TOPIC 8. The written foreign language. Approximation, maturing and improvement of the reading-writing process. Reading comprehension: techniques for global and specific comprehension. Written expression: from the interpretation to the production of text.

TOPIC 9. Description of the phonological system of the English language. Models and techniques of learning. Perception, discrimination and emission of sounds, intonations, rhythms and stress. Phonetic Correction.

TOPIC 10. Orthographic codes of the English language. Relation sound-graphy. Proposals for the didactic of the written code. Application of orthography to written production.

TOPIC 11. Lexical and semantic fields of English. Necessary vocabulary for Socialization, Information and Expressing Attitudes. Typology of activities related to teaching and learning vocabulary in the foreign language classroom.

TOPIC 12. Essential morphosyntactic elements of the English language. Basic communicative structures. Progressive usage of grammatical categories in spoken and written Production to improve communication.

TOPIC 13. History of the development of didactics of foreign languages: from the grammar translation method to actual approaches.

TOPIC 14. Methods and techniques that focus on the acquisition of communicative competences. Specific methodological foundations for teaching English.

TOPIC 15. Most adequate literary époques, authors and genres to be used in English lessons. Typology of texts.

TOPIC 16. English children’s literature. Techniques of didactic application to accede oral comprehension, initiate reading habits and sensitize in the poetic function of language.

TOPIC 17. Songs as poetry and literary creation in the English language classroom. Typology of songs. Techniques for using songs to learn phonetics, vocabulary and culture.

TOPIC 18. Functions of games and creativity in foreign language learning. Definition and classification of games for language learning and perfection. Games as a creative and recreational technique to achieve communicative competence in the foreign language.

TOPIC 19. Techniques for animation and creativity as a resource for learning foreign languages. Dramatization of everyday situations, stories, characters, jokes, and so on. Group work for creative tasks. Teacher’s roles.

TOPIC 20. The area of foreign languages in the curriculum. Criteria to be reflected in the school educative project and in the School Curriculum Project.

TOPIC 21. Programming in the English Language Area: Unit plans. Criteria for sequencing and temporization of contents and objectives. Selection of the methodology to be used in learning and assessment activities.

TOPIC 22. Variables to be kept in mind when organizing English lessons: Grouping students, distribution of time and space, selection of methodologies, teacher’s role and so on.

TOPIC 23. Elaboration of ESL Curriculum Materials. Criteria for choosing and using a textbook. Authentic and adapted documents: limitations of usage. Students’ collaboration in design material.

TOPIC 24. Technological and pedagogical aspects of using audio-visual materials (newspaper, TV, cassette player, video, etc,). The computer as an auxiliary resource for learning and improving foreign languages.

TOPIC 25. The Process of Foreign Language Teaching and Learning: Student Centred Approach: Basis and Applications. Identification of Motivations and Attitudes towards the English Language. Practical Applications.
